ABSTRACT: Th.e conglomerate, which was investigated in south western Bolu,, is located wilhin the Kurşunlar Member of Yaylalar Formation (Tunç and Kazancı,, 1980). The main emphasis in this, study was placed on the direction and strike of transportation., The strikes of transportation were established by measuring the longitudinal .axes ("A" axes) of 1000 pebbles and cobbles. Because there was no structural evidences.» the direction of transportation were- esiablished by the .investigation of thin sections of various pebbles and cobbles.
